The latest addition to our Stock Explorer range, Stock Explorer Plus offers all the features of Stock Explorer III plus a new ‘quick stock in/out’ function and numerous other enhancements. The new modular approach means that you only pay for the features you need. |
|
**NEW MODULES** Repairs and Loans - Deals with situations where items are temporarily removed from stock. This will normally be for the purpose of a repair or loan but could be for any situation where items are to be returned into stock at a future date. |
|
**NOW AVAILABLE** Scheduling - Allows for the scheduling of purchase orders and works orders. Customer Order and Works Order items are listed in the 'schedule' views. These items may be sorted by their 'order by' date - the latest date by which they must be ordered, taking into account purchasing lead times and works order build times. |
|

Purchase orders may be grouped in batches if required and an automatic order generation feature is available. A ‘Send Via E-mail’ option allows immediate composition and despatch of email Orders may be raised in any currency. Goods Received Notes (GRN’s) may be used to record received goods. |

|
Delivery Notes |
| These can also be generated
in no time by dragging items from customer orders into an open delivery
note.
Customer order items may be added to one or more delivery notes. The stock is automatically updated (i.e. ‘allocated stock’ becomes ‘used stock’). The printed delivery note and purchase order may be configured to resemble existing company stationery, or to overprint company forms. |

| Miscellaneous |
|
Additional features in the standard pack include returns notes, scrap notes, quarantine details and a number of views designed to offer useful analysis of the stock, expenditure and related data |
| Assemblies and Parts Lists |
|
Assemblies can be added to other assemblies to create any number of sub-levels. Assembly stock levels and status can also be viewed. |

|
Assembly information can be expanded to provide detailed and configurable parts lists including item designators, notes and pictures. Parts list information may be exchanged with external documents. |
|
Works Orders |
|
Processing a works order allocates all necessary stock, and a review of components will rapidly identify shortages. Picking lists can be generated and works orders may be associated with a customer order. |
|
Warehouse |
|
The warehouse module links seamlessly with Stock Explorer. A simple visual interface allows received goods to be assigned to multiple warehouse locations. Parts may be moved between locations and in/out of quarantine. A history panel allows all warehouse transactions be tracked and reviewed. An interactive picking list allows auto-picking of parts by various criteria including date and batch size. Customer order items are also selected from the warehouse and added to delivery notes using a picking list. The user can choose to build sub-assemblies from their component parts or take pre-built items from stock (or any combination of the two). |
| Numerous summary and analysis reports may be generated. Purchase Orders. Delivery Notes, Return Notes and Invoices are customisable to suit individual requirements. | top |

Stock Explorer allows the import of customer, supplier, component and assembly information from suitably formatted text files. This normally allows you to quickly transfer most of your existing important data. However some of our previous customers have requested assistance with the transition from their existing system to Stock Explorer. Therefore whatever your requirements we can help you with the process of initialising and configuring your Stock Explorer System.
Provided you can supply
us useable data we can fulfill most of your start-up requirements for you.
For example:
1. Import customers,
suppliers, components and assemblies.
Typical source data;
Formatted text files
(csv,
tab-separated, fixed field length etc.)
Excel tables
MS Access database
files
Please clarify the
names of each field to ensure the data is correctly assigned.
2. Create assembly
hierarchies (sub-assemblies and components).
Typical source data;
Formatted text files
(csv,
tab-separated, fixed field length etc.)
Excel tables
MS Access database file
We need to be able to identify the assembly name, the sub-assembly or component name and the quantity
3. Import miscellaneous
data (e.g. employees, shipping methods, currencies etc.).
Typical source data;
Formatted text files
(csv,
tab-separated, fixed field length etc.)
Excel tables
MS Access database file
4. Report
Customisation.
Purchase orders,
delivery notes and returns notes may all need to be customised to resemble
your existing company stationery. You can do all of this for yourself but it can be time-consuming to get your documents just right. We can configure them for you, adding notes and other text, we can include your company logo, reposition text and labels, change fonts, sizes and styles and generally make the printed documents conform to your needs.
Typical source data;
Examples of your
existing stationery, marked up with any changes if necessary.
An image of your
company logo (bitmap, jpeg, gif etc.)
5. Users.
We can add your users
for you.
Just give us a list of user names, user passwords and required access rights.
Send your enquiries and/or source files to stocksupport@saturnsolutions.co.uk and we'll get back to you with our advice and costings. (Prices start as low as £50). |

"Like any new product it takes a little getting used to but the support team have always answered any questions quickly and fully (the first six months support is free!).
